We write the menu. Then we design it.
For a wedding we build the courses around you, and the printed menu on the table is ours too. Your names, your flowers, your day.
- Courses chosen with you, not picked off a list
- Menus designed and printed for the day, at no extra cost
- One long table, or the whole restaurant to yourselves
Drinks, your way
- From the bar pay as you go, or one tab with a limit you set
- Welcome prosecco $10 pp
- House package $45 pp, up to 3 hours
- Alcohol-free package $18 pp
Drinks are not part of the set menus. Your own cake is welcome too, cut and plated for you. We serve alcohol responsibly.
Before you ask
Do you take a deposit?
For larger events and exclusive use of the restaurant, we ask for a deposit to hold your date, and it comes off the final bill. For most groups there is nothing to pay upfront.
What if we have to cancel?
The deposit holds your date and comes off the final bill. Cancel more than 14 days before and it is refunded in full. Inside 14 days we keep it against the food already ordered. Final numbers are confirmed one week before, and that is what you are charged for.
How far ahead should we book?
Two to three weeks is usually plenty. For a wedding, or for any date in December, the earlier the better, those go first.
How many can you seat? Can we have the place to ourselves?
Up to 90 guests across the dining room and the deck, and groups from about 10 usually get one long table. Exclusive use works best for weddings and end of year parties: choose it in the form and we tell you what is possible for your date.
What about children?
Children are very welcome. Under 12s can have our kids menu instead of the set menu, just ask when you book.
Where do people park?
The Pier has parking right under the building, and the Esplanade is a two minute walk. Most guests coming from a hotel in the city centre simply walk over.
