It all began in 2014 when two passionate chefs, Vitalia Zanda and Antonio Lo Conte, left their home in Avellino, Italy, to start a new adventure in Australia. With a suitcase full of dreams and a deep desire to share authentic Italian cuisine, they settled in Cairns, Queensland.
In 2016, they opened their first Italian restaurant and pizzeria – a little slice of Italy where tradition and passion came alive in every dish. Vitalia's cooking quickly won over the premises, and the restaurant became a go-to spot for those seeking genuine, unforgettable flavours.
But their journey didn't stop there. Vitalia and Antonio's creativity knew no bounds, leading to the opening of Vitalia's Pasta & Cono Pizza, where fresh pasta and pizza cones revolutionized Italian street food. Next came Vitalia's Panini & Focacce, a bakery where panini and focaccia, filled with Italian deli meats and cheeses, brought the essence of Italy to the streets of Cairns.
The spirit of Vitalia spirit lives on in every dough, every dish, and every smile that greets our customers. Everything we 've built is thanks to her, and we carry on her dream of her with the same love and passion she put into every detail.
